Solos, Duos and Trios
In addition to team competitions, calisthenics also offers the opportunity for students to perform individually through solos, duos and trios items. These performances give students a chance to showcase their personal style, creativity, and technical ability on stage.
What Are Solos?
Solos are individual routines choreographed specifically for the performer.
They allow students to highlight their strengths in movement, expression and performance.
Other performance opportunities include Duos (two performers together) and Trios (three performers together).
In Victoria, solos are run through competitions that take place in the first part of the calisthenics season, before team competitions begin. Performers compete against others of a similar age and division, with adjudicators providing feedback and awarding places.
Solos are a wonderful way for students to:
Build confidence on stage
Develop performance skills beyond team work
Experience personalised choreography and coaching
Work towards individual goals
At Aurora Calisthenics College, we encourage and support students who wish to take part in solos. Our coaches work closely with each performer to create unique routines that best suit their skills and personality.
